Rock n Roll Lullabies.

kids, dogs, and rock n' roll

So! The Twins Are 6 Months (Plus some)..

But I am too lazy to write a blog entry on a schedule,  wait. Did I say lazy? I mean rock n roll.

I will go ahead and talk about my sweet Patience first. She is 5 minutes older ya know. You guys, do you remember when I did the update talking about how Patience was hard to get a smile and giggle out of? Well, she decided to make a liar out of me! This little goof ball just loves to smile and laugh now! The best part is, that she loves to smile and laugh for ME! I finally shared my secret with Husband yesterday though. We were waiting for the doctor to come and OK them for their 6 month shots, and I thought that it might come in handy. I just pretend to kiss her neck and tummy while making “happy zombie” noises at the same time. She LOVES it!

She rolls over both ways, and does so well on her tummy these days! She wants to move so bad, but just can not get out of the flying baby pose. She doesn’t show much interest in sitting (unless it is in someone’s lap), and is still leaps and bounds from standing.. she does love when I hold her hands so that she can “walk” though. Speaking of walking, this little chick love love loves being in her DJ Booth Walker! About a week ago we noticed that she went from only being able to go in the direction that she was pointed in to being able to purposefully turn and head towards whatever has caught her fancy (girl is distracted by shiny things).

At the doctor’s office she weighed in at a teeny bit over 15 lbs putting her in the 25 percentile, so she is just a wee piglet. She still isn’t too interested in food, although she is better at grabbing, holding, and controlling the food. She is also constantly sticking her entire hand in her mouth. She has been teething for about 2 months straight, and there are still no teeth in sight. Poor baby, but we know the teeth will come when they come. She is also SUPER vocal! She actually says the words “blah blah blah maaaaaamuaaaaaa” haha, ok they aren’t words, but she does repeat them exactly so I know that she thinks that they are words. Ok, I guess the final new thing she is doing is trying her damnedest to get her feet into her mouth. It cracks me up!

I love her and her giant open mouth closed eyes smile so much you guys.

Next I will share about my sensitive little boy Cash Elvis. You guys, he is so sensitive to everything around him. I feel kind of bad already because I know that it will be tough for him to keep this level of empathy as he grows and is exposed to the world! I just want him to be happy! When he is happy, he is happy! He doesn’t laugh quite as much or as hard as his sister (they reversed roles there), but when he smiles it is with his whole body! Plus I know the happy zombie noises can get a giggle almost always!

He has finally started rolling, although he still doesn’t do it unless there is a reason. I am pretty sure that he already knows that “mom will do it” or “mom will get it” so there isn’t a whole lot of incentive to get mobile. He is unwilling to stay on his tummy long enough to even think about trying to crawl so Patience has definitely got him beat there! He probably thinks that she can get him stuff when she is mobile. He still loves to stand while we hold his hands! Loves it! Gets mad when me stop doing it! He also has gotten very into sitting. Which is awesome, since he can play with things and stay occupied a little longer now! He still can get into the sitting position on his own, but he is close! He does not have the same control over the DJ Booth Walker thing as Patience does, but he can get down in the Jump A Roo.

This guy weighed in at just shy of 17lbs yesterday. That put him in the 75 percentile. We call him a chunker, but really it is just his cheeks (ok and maybe his thighs). He is just big!  He loves him some food too! Loves it to the point that he doesn’t want to try and eat it on his own, just yells about the fact that it isn’t in his mouth! This guy also has had some serious teething going on for a while! We can feel bumps and see discoloration on his gums, but still no ridges or teeth. It is ok though, they will get here when they get here. I already know that he is going to be a boob biter so I can wait!

I love this guy and his snuggles so so much.
