(and, simultaneously, we need to let it be “okay” for women to be confident about their bodies. All too often, when women (including me) are happy in their own skins, others shut them down. Confidence is not arrogance. She loving she shouldn’t be a bad thing. Modesty is overrated: we need screams, not whispers, ya know? Be loud, be proud, and don’t let others dull your shine.)
I think it is just as important for boys to see their mothers have this attitude as well.
Even if you don’t necessarily feel it, say it. It makes a difference.
