Lets slow down for a bit…
Wow.
Just Wow. The end of September through October is always so busy for us, I am glad that it ends today. I just need a minute, or 100, to chill out. As much as I can with the twins anyway. We have had 2 trips to Disneyland, pumpkin patch outings, day trips to LA, a horrid horrid bout with a stomach virus, and then a weekend away to Las Vegas. Stick a fork in me I am done.
Oh, did I tell you guys about the horribly painful and extremely contagious stomach virus the twins and I got? Rotavirus. You know, the one that babies get the oral vaccine for at 2/4/6 months? Well it is still pretty common for the wee ones to get it anyway, and if the wee ones get it- Mom gets it. First Cash started puking, then he had crazy yellow loose stools, Patience went home with the nanny to try and contain the spreading, then I started puking. Violently. Then I started peeing out my butt, then Patience came home and she was puking, then the nanny was puking. The only one who didn’t get sick was Daddy, because husbands obviously do less work and there for have less risk for contamination.
On Thursday late afternoon Chad and I both got Immune System boost IV treatments and I woke up feeling like a million bucks on Friday (you know, slightly green and wrinkly). We spent the day with the twins and in the evening we handed them over to my sister from another mister and her family to take until Sunday evening, when they took them to Nanny’s house for the night. Chad and I were nervous to go on our Vegas trip in the first place, but with the twins feeling less than well we were really nervous! But Jeez did we already have a lot of money and planning invested in this trip! So we went figuring that we could always just come back home if we needed to.
I drove us there in the middle of the night, and I think it was the quickest that I have ever made the drive. Being on day 4 of going to the restroom non stop will do that to you!
Anyway, the trip was fun! It was kind of bizarre but fun. I missed the twins a lot though, and it was hard to sleep!

But we had a good time and I am glad that we went. Hopefully the next time we plan a trip (not any time soon), things will go a little smoother and it will be a little more relaxing.
I think I have started rambling…
